Feature Documentary | 53 Minutes

11:00am Studio Room – “Documentary Collection″

Synopsis: In 1986 Fredrick Freeman was sentenced to life without parole for the murder of Scott Macklem. Many witnesses stated he was in Escanaba, MI, 465 miles away. The prosecutor fabricated stories to secure a conviction. Retired MI Supreme Court Chief Justice Brennan states he would have found for the defendant. This documentary describes how the innocent can be found guilty. It is more than one man’s story. It is a caution for us all of wrongful convictions.
