“Raised Alone” and “Schizophrenia”
“Raised Alone” synopsis: Murad Bandley prioritizes financial security over raising his son, Adam. Now a gifted violinist, Adam Bandley performs his world-renown solo, bestowing a glimpse of his childhood attempt at reconciliation. Run time: 30 minutes
In addition to the film, we will also be showing “Raised Alone: Behind the Scenes”, which has never been screened before. Run time: 15 minutes
“Schizophrenia” synopsis: Marry Wales is a typical married woman that begins to slip deep into a mystifying world where her dreams and reality become increasingly difficult to distinguish. She awakens from a dream in which she confesses to killing her husband’s sister, Debby – only to find that Debby has been murdered for real. At this point suspicions arise in the Wales family. The investigation ensues to find out who was responsible for this crime. Run time: 30 minutes

Sam Kadi is the Director/Producer of the Award Winning Short Family Drama “Raised Alone.” Raised Alone has played in the world’s top festivals, including Hollywood’s largest family film festival, the 16TH International Family Film Festival at the Raleigh Studios, New York International Independent Film Festival where it won Best Family Short Film, the 17TH International Damascus Film Festival, and the Detroit Windsor International Film Festival where it won Best Michigan Film.
“Raised Alone,” has received a total of EIGHT AWARDS and SEVEN NOMINATIONS on the festival circuit to make it one of the most winning shorts in the history of Michigan made films (the list of Awards is below). Also “Raised Alone” was the first film to receive the full 40% Michigan Cash Rebate through the Michigan Film Incentive Program.
Sam began his filmmaking career with “Schizophrenia”, a short narrative thriller, which was nominated in 2007 for the Best Director Award and finished second in the audience vote for Best Film during Motion Picture Institute of Michigan Film Festival. The film has screened in several film festivals, including the prestigious, Cannes Film Festival and was picked up for distribution by Indieflix.
Sam holds a Bachelor Degree in Mechanical Engineering and a Diploma in filmmaking.
In 2008, Sam established his own production company, Sam K Production, Inc.
Sam has also written, directed and produced four short promotional films to. The films are “Your Choice”, the super 16mm film “I BELONG”, the documentary “A Day at the Beverly Hills Academy,” and “Uncovered”.
Sam is currently in pre-production for his first feature film “THE CITIZEN”
